Arm Lift Brachioplasty Procedure
Over time, the body naturally loses tone and firmness due to factors such as weight fluctuations, aging, and genetics. The upper arms are especially prone to sagging because of excess skin and localized fat deposits, often leading to a “bat wing” appearance that can be difficult to address with diet and exercise alone.
An arm lift—also known as brachioplasty—can help restore a smoother, more youthful contour. This procedure is ideal for non-smoking individuals who maintain a stable, healthy weight and want to tighten loose skin, improve definition, and remove stubborn fat from the upper arms.
How a Brachioplasty Works
During brachioplasty, the length and pattern of the incision depend on the amount and location of excess skin that needs to be removed. In most cases, incisions are placed along the inside or back of the arm and may extend from the armpit to just above the elbow.
Excess fat is removed using liposuction, the underlying supportive tissue is tightened and reshaped, and the skin is smoothed over the new contour. In some cases, a brachioplasty may also be performed using BodyTite® technology to further enhance skin tightening and refinement.
